Skirting Boards

The essential foundation of room design. Seamlessly bridge the gap between wall and floor with beautiful baseboards.

Why Choose Premium Skirting?

Skirting boards, also known as baseboards, are the hardest-working architectural detail in your home. They not only provide a visually grounding border that frames your flooring, but they also serve the critical function of hiding expansion gaps around hard floors and protecting the base of your walls from daily foot traffic and cleaning tools.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Wall Protection: Acts as a robust barrier against kicks, vacuum cleaners, and mop water, preventing damage to your drywall and wallpaper.
  • Hides Imperfections: Neatly covers the necessary expansion gaps left during the installation of wood, laminate, and SPC flooring.
  • Architectural Grounding: Tall, elegant skirting immediately gives a room a more expensive, fully-finished appearance compared to builder-basic trim.

Design Styles Available

Choose from tall, sweeping Ogee and Torus profiles for traditional elegance, or select sharp, square-edged and chamfered profiles for a clean, contemporary look. We offer moisture-resistant MDF, solid wood, and waterproof polymer options.

Skirting Board add architectural detail, visual refinement, and a polished finishing touch to interior spaces. Made from PU (Polyurethane), PS (Polystyrene), or MDF, our skirting board collection transforms plain walls and ceilings into elegantly framed surfaces that evoke classical European grandeur or sleek contemporary sophistication — depending on the profile chosen.

PU (polyurethane) skirting board offers the highest level of detail reproduction and flexibility. It can be bent around curved surfaces, accepts paint beautifully, and is lightweight enough for ceiling installation without heavy structural support. PS (polystyrene) options provide similar aesthetics at a more budget-friendly price point.

Wall & Floor Home Interior carries hundreds of skirting board profiles in various sizes, from delicate 3 cm trims to grand 20 cm crown mouldings. Our team provides design guidance on combining profiles to create layered, architectural wall and ceiling compositions.

Installation Process

  1. Layout Planning — Mark the moulding positions on walls/ceilings using a laser level and pencil lines.
  2. Cutting — Use a mitre saw for precise 45° angle cuts at corners and joints.
  3. Adhesive Application — Apply PU construction adhesive to the back of each moulding piece.
  4. Positioning — Press the moulding firmly into position along the marked line. Use pin nails for temporary support while adhesive cures.
  5. Finishing — Fill nail holes and joints with acrylic caulk, sand smooth, and paint to match your wall color scheme.

Care & Maintenance

  • Dust moulding profiles regularly with a soft brush or microfiber cloth.
  • Touch up paint as needed to cover scuffs or marks.
  • Re-caulk joints if any cracks appear due to building settlement.
  • Inspect adhesion points annually, especially on ceiling-mounted profiles.
